Purpose:

  1. To stir the saints to godliness
  2. To warn them of false teachers and scoffers within
  3. To contrast true and false knowledge
  4. To describe the judgements relative to the day of the Lord

Message:

  1. True knowledge is evidenced by growth in godliness (obedience unlocks true knowledge of God).
  2. The believer must remain pure and loyal in days of corruption and apostasy.
  3. All doctrinal and moral corruption will be judged at the day of the Lord.
